We made it

Some people didn't believe in us
Nobody thought we could make it.
Little did they know.
Our lives ran parallel up to the moment we realized
Together we could make our wishes come true.
The greater the risk, the greater the reward they say

I wouldn't say we took a risk so much..
We knew what we wanted and together we made it happen.

So my message to couples out there is that if its right, things will fall into place.
If its right, its not difficult to love and forgive...
If its right, you both carry the load..
You know its right when you feel you're with your best friend...
After all they are there to guard you through thick & thin right?

As long as both invest and commit to the same goals, terms and conditions,
you CAN make it. It does take work and effort to maintain a healthy
relationship, but its not so hard when you're with someone you truly
love and that person genuinely loves you. It should not be hard to work towards your
goals (together). Real love doesn't hurt you relentlessly..
Real love nurtures. Yeah, it takes two to tango, But more importantly it takes two to make it work.

Not Perfect

You can't always make people happy, as hard as you may try. Not without wearing yourself down to the bone. Allahu alim.

Sometimes Allah subhan wa ta a'la gives us the big answers in the subtlest of ways. Its a matter of tuning ourselves in to the little things that fill every moment of every day. In-sha-Allah ♥ May we not let the negatives overshadow the many blessings that are right in front of us. AMEN.

From the chauvinistic persona:
Don’t talk back.
Don’t raise your voice even when your voice is being drowned out.
If your opinion isn’t the same, its less than.
Cook and clean like its your favorite hobby.
Leftovers? Make sure you eat them yourself.
Do the responsible thing because you’re the only one with the sense to do so.
Be a handyman (handy women in reality) because nobody else has got that sort of time and energy.
Be content with these responsibilities.
Don’t long to leave the four walls you’re stuck in.
Be content with errands and public appearances.
Sit pretty and smile.


Now there is nothing wrong in doing these things at all..
Except the sarcasm is intended for the chauvinistic, double standard hypocrites.

What to do when everything you say or do..
Whether it be a silly moment of joy, or a random memory, gets on someone’s nerves?
What next when you feel you can’t simply be YOURSELF?

What a horrible feeling it is to feel that everything that makes you unique in character and
comfortable in your own skin, has to be bottled up inside..

They want you void of your own thoughts, opinions, and expression that make you, YOU.
All that makes up your character.
They want you completely pleasing and agreeable.
They want you to just shut up and smile..

They want you to be a ROBOT.

There’s an ache and a rage buried deep.
Silent tears in solitude are the only way to suppress the fire.
