Its great you can have your eyes opened by inspiring individuals and a message... But it should motivate us to go research and learn for ourselves. To simply listen to media regardless where & who it is coming from, without doing our homework, is simply basing our opinions off of another's opinion. Take the time to research and read whenever possible. Keep an open mind, stand from every viewpoint 

and assess. Ask questions. Keep an open mind to the fact we all stumble along the way.

When there is division & chaos,think... Who would benefit from dividing neighboring peoples,countries & nations? What idea is being promoted from this? Lets be thinkers & seekers..Not simply followers. Its only natural to follow a certain path, but lets not simply follow without the ladder(the previous).

We all want the same thing peace & happiness.. It doesn't come from sacrificing another's. If we're not doing things with love,compassion, diplomacy,thinking ect... We're not doing it right.

In a bubble?

At times it startles me how many people choose to live in their bubble.

Sleeping in bed with the aggressors because within' this bubble, they don't have to seek deeper,think deeper..No digging through the dirt, no exposing of the bones, stories told and untold. Its much easier to accept the mold,the status quo versus using one's mind, using one's voice and actions for Truth, love and humanity. God forbid they cross the borders they set up around themselves and see the Truth that is. That on the other side of the line are the many beautiful souls that deserve to live just as much as you & I. Souls that believe in humanity,despite their injustice. 

God forbid..for people to stop and look in the mirror and ask themselves if their views of love,compassion and humanity are within' a box? How much hate do they actually hold? Whether they are aware of it or not their reasoning comes with the feeling of superiority over others.  Are they putting limits to God's love over all His creation? How can they claim themselves more worthy of His Grace? This belief in of itself is problematic. When you hear someone spreading fear,hate,prejudice, self righteousness in their logic and with it, legitimizing this insidious way of behaving… Ask yourself why??? For some, love for humanity is easier in concept than actual practice... Because it means looking in the mirror and facing the not so pretty truth. We can not limit Love and Truth, But we can limit ourselves & our contribution to a peaceful society.

Strength

But they can't fight their inner desperation of such greed. It takes a ton of courage to accept. It takes true strength to admit mistakes, admit defeat, to overcome their inner desire to be superior.

It's okay to have weaknesses - because how we deal with them is what really determines our own genuine strength. "

People portray their own reality. Sometimes these insecurities are projected onto you like described above, don't take it to heart...You don't have to accept it, But you can understand it.  Understanding other people's pain & reality, helps you change your own actions/reactions into positive ones. Don't take their monkey on your back...keep positive and you might help someone make their own reality positive as well. The saying is true, " Be the change you wish to see in the world " ...... A life of independence versus a life of sacrifice.. Sometimes both go hand in hand, sometimes not. You see people that are in some degree, are about “self”..ones wants,needs,goals,comforts..ect. What about the people who are completely selfless? The backbone to a family, a moral society? What exactly is their independence? Independence from ego? Independence from the illusion of this dunya? Silent but heard..

What can hurt most is the ache that pulls within' oneself when knowing that whether to speak or not to speak, you will still be misunderstood & misinterpreted. There are those times it is better to say nothing at all. Neither of the two attempts soften the blow. To sacrifice...preserve...understand...practice patience firm in belief. The silence in of itself says so much & feels so much more. But you know.. Nobody understands one's silence more than Allah subhan wa ta a'la. He is the most Great.. All knowing.. Most Merciful

Be thankful

People are dying of hunger, while others complain about their food's taste,have eating competitions and have extreme waste. People are breaking their fast on a blanket underneath the stars,while some of us are eating a banquet under chandeliers. We think we can't find something to wear in our overflowing closets, when there are those that don't have anything else to wear other than what is on their backs. More often than not its someone that has less then most,that will share all that they have..Yet when we obtain great wealth some of us cling to it as if that is all life is about. Remember your death is inevitable and we all leave a legacy..let it be a great one. Don't forget to be grateful and humbled for all that we have is by the grace of God/Allah. Feed your souls...Don't let this worldly life consume you. A.S.

Seek From Allah

Don't seek all your hopes & dreams within' people. To do so will guarantee you disappointments and let downs. Learn from human nature inwardly & outwardly & improve yourself. Don't hesitate to forgive others just as we too would like to be forgiven..True happiness is when we turn to Allah. For all that we have is by His grace alone. Make remembrance of Allah...that there is no power nor strength with anyone except Him. People can let you down only if you let yourself become a slave to people,anyone other than Allah. Note to self: whenever you feel alone,down & out,disappointed..Remember Allah subhan wa ta a'la & our being created to love & worship Him. La illaha illallah A.S.

Ramadan

Ramadan is around the corner =] Its a great time to detox ourselves not only physically but more importantly spiritually. Lets contemplate and remember that what we try to improve on in ourselves during Ramadan.. It should not be limited to, But applied all our lives. Lost in a dream

Been having these dreams where someone I have removed from my life, keeps reappearing to me. The theme is usually the same, an opportunity to reunite and all is presented well, But the feeling in my heart that it's not & that its only of face value,never changes... Just like in reality, in my dream my heart is far removed,its elsewhere or with my best friend & companion from reality.Sometimes people haunt your dreams just to reaffirm what you already know to be true in you waking life. Its interesting the contrast in which the conscious and subconscious reveal reality. A.S.

Ramadan goal

A goal I want to work on always but will focus on this Ramadan would be strengthening of my faith. Naturally there are those times where the errors of this world will get to me,scare me,create fear and doubts. I'm no extreme case, but it's a part of human nature to have one's faith wax and wean so its important to have constant remembrance in Allah/God. Hence my goal...To have a faith in Allah subhan wa ta'ala that is unshakable. Doubts will not whisper in my ear & I will not be crippled by fear. To continue to live life with faith & grace despite error's effort for us to fall from the path. Dear Lord.. I want to become a better muslim,always. Amen A.S.

Checking...checking..

There is nothing wrong with disagreeing with others. We have the right to our own opinions, But we can do it in a respectful manner. We can still show respect & hold our own point of view.. How can we expect others to show us the same if we act any other way than how we'd too like to be treated? That's right. So lets try to keep our tone of voice and the words we use in check. How would our examples behave? Would they and more importantly would Allah approve? Check...check....Insha Allah A.S.

Happiness, a choice

To be happy is a choice. No doubt there will be hardships, But we have the God given gift of choice. We can choose to see the best in a people, to understand that we do not see all factors,our perspective is only a perspective, to understand we're all on different paths, & we can choose to take a look at ourselves. Change & happiness stems from inside ourselves. We often see what we emulate. There is a lesson that comes from every experience.. We decide whether or not to see it. Alhamdulilah for everything. Lets reflect

No matter how big or seemingly small, in all categories of life most of the problems in the world are selfishness & greed. Why are some so wrapped up in themselves they can neglect compassion,empathy,responsibility,sensitivity,patience,sacrifice and much more. Reacting without thinking,one could easily yell & make a lot of noise, But it takes true patience,thought,sincerity & a practice of faith to find the calm within'. It means to listen. It means to listen to Allah. To have these strengths in turn would show in our outward selves. Talk with respect. Think with the intent to understand more than ourselves. To act with love and compassion. Simply look to our Prophet(s)..what would they have done? They are our examples.. Are we acting accordingly? And more importantly what would Allah think of you?Allah is all aware, yet we forget. It was said, if you have no shame, continue as you are. So ultimately we reap what we sow. To be a good person takes effort. This is what being mature is all about regardless of any age. Maturity comes from a state of mind which in turn shows in our voices and demonstrated in our actions.The way we deal & talk with others should be respectful. Use common sense...or at least acquire it. Live your life with GRACE. A.S.
